Nanyang Centre for Supercomputing and Visualisation (NCSV) was established in the year 2001. The main task of this centre is to promote and develop infrastructure and competencies in the areas of supercomputing and visualisation.

The BioInformatics Research Centre (BIRC) focuses on the education, research and development, and human-resource training in bioinformatics at NTU.

The Parallel & Distributed Computing Centre (PDCC) at the School of Computer Engineering (SCE) has the following research areas: System Support for Grid Computing, Parallel & Distributed Simulation, Multi-agent Systems, Parallel & Distributed Algorithms & Applications, and Parallel Computer Architectures.

APSTC Singapore (Asia Pacific Science & Technology Center) is one of the 6 different Asia- Pacific Science & Technology Centers currently established by Sun Microsystems' Education & Research LOB.
